heavy rain in next 48 hours in Mumbai, Red alert in 8 districts of Odisha
This creates a big issue for people who are traveling back from work 
  • The highest rainfall during 112 years in Mumbai, rain, and rain broke 118 years in Pune and Thane   
  • Heavy rains warning in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Central Maharashtra, Gujarat, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, and Nagaland  
  • Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 km, are likely to prevail over the north Arabian Sea, central and southwest Arabian Sea.

  • Due to heavy rains, there was a flood situation in Chandrapur district of Vidarbha. There have been heavy rains in other cities of Maharashtra like Gadchiroli and Nashik. With 235 mm of rainfall Mahabaleshwar has been seen as the rainiest place in the country for the second consecutive day.
